Recent Offshore Boom Repair
OSSC was tasked with the inspection and repair of a Hi-Sprint neoprene containment boom. Even during the current COVID-19 pandemic, OSSC carried out strict social distancing and risk assesment for this operation overseas.
Even though the Hi-Sprint was only 6 years old, it had suffered holes in the lightweight material. However, OSSC was ready with all the equipment to enable a repair that was just as good as the factory who originally made the boom!
OSSC used a "portable" vulcanising press to ensure repair integrity, even in the 35 degree heat!

OSSC can also carry out repairs to Oil Containment Booms at our customers sites, ensuring that the equipment remains incountry should an incident occur, preventing the requirement to freight equipment back to the manufacturer for a lengthy repair.
